Camping

We went camping to Morgans Landing (Coffin Bay National Park) in January - we're not really 'shack' people, nor fans of holidaying with people who live in the same community (no offence to those people who do enjoy it!!), but I guess we like our own company for our breaks, and this is our ideal holiday! Yes, even with NO ensuite it is perfect.

3 little campers - ready and excited to be going!!

Our 'shack'...
Kids playground - early in the morning, who could want anything else!

Boogieboarding the waves - such fun!!

Flying kites on the beach!

Running up and down sandhills...

Practicing to stand up alone!

Sandboarding!!

Yes, we are also patriotic, and proudly fly the flag from our camper - (it actually helps keep the bees and blowies away by flapping in the breeze!)

A lovely relaxing camping trip, looking forward to the next one!

New School Year!!

In our house yesterday, we had 2 very excited children... First day of the new school year for 2010!! I imagine many other households had very excited children also, fortunately for us, ours are not sad at all about going to school, and almost bound out of the car without saying goodbye... apparently there was 'another' little girl like this many many years ago... and her mum doesn't let her forget it!!!

Luka on the first day of Year 2. She's in Ms Daniels class, and it's her last year in JUNIOR primary!! In the next corridor next year we keep being told... Luka is happy with her class, she has some lovely friends in there that haven't been in the same class at all yet during her time at school... finally she says!!!

Levi, brand new schoolkid, started Reception, and is in Ms Halls class, he's very happy that he's got lots of mates in there, and gets to do all sorts of 'cool' stuff. Up at 7am, dressed and ready on the first morning... lets see if THAT lasts 13yrs...

I smile when I look at this photo. So grown up, so capable, and so looking forward to being at school. Apparently when their sandwiches are mixed up and put in the 'wrong' lunchbox at home, they'll be able to just swap it at school, so 'don't worry mum, we'll sort it out' was told to me!
