{Lake at Sunset}

Laura, Tiff and I ventured out to the lakes towards Kapinnie a few weeks ago to experiment on some 'long exposures'... wow, I learnt a whole lot of new information that night!!! Here's a few of my shots from the night.

RAW!!

Has it really been this long since I've posted here?? Oops, clearly I'm not a true 'blogger'. I'll improve, surely. Can't get worse can I!?

Ventured into RAW today- after communicating with a pro, Philipa Smoke from Sweet Chilli Philly Photography and asking if she shoots in RAW at all (probably a silly question to ask a pro, but hey, I had nothing to lose!), she informed me that she always shoots in RAW, it's the only way to go - so I grabbed the camera, worked out how to put it into RAW mode, and went outside where I had some small people playing! Here's what came out of that!!

Lens flare that is. I stumbled across this action on PS... threw it on this photo that I'd done a bit of editing on... and voila. I think it really tops it off.

{She turns 7...}

Luka turned 7 yesterday - She had a friend sleep over, no party this year!

We gave her this gorgeous pettiskirt, she just adores it. Hardly taken it off since yesterday morning. I got it though Kym White, a friend who has this business.

Here is the cake... she requested this which was so easy to make... had to be with a 15mth old clinging at my legs wanting to be picked up! lol

Sewing time...

I'm pretty chuffed as to how they've turned out (considering I'm not a sewer!)- I have a little boy who has ordered a 'boys' basket with tractors instead of pretty girls things. I think I can manage that mate!

I have just bought....

I have had a cheap nasty little one of these since well before we were married (which will be 8yrs on the 20th... I'm thinking diamonds?)


and it has created all of the kids birthday cakes, so it's done well, but it's time to upgrade.... I seem to be cooking more, and the little ol Tiffany that was $20 just doesn't cut it anymore.

I will have it tomorrow, and just in time too, I have another birthday cake to make for next friday... My girl is turning 7... *sniff*So I'll be back next week with the photo of the creation!
